Event: Being Peace.
Facilitator: Fateah Alice Saunders.
Venue: The Salisbury Centre, 2 Salisbury Rd, Edinburgh, EH16 5AB.
Dates: Thursday 16 February and Thursday 16 March 2017.
Times: 7pm-8.30pm.
Event Description: When there is no war, that is a situation of no-war – it is not necessarily peace.
Peace is not passive, it is not “being walked over” it is not “wimpish”.
Being at peace with oneself and with others depends partly on one’s attitude and requires commitment, requires action.
How does one maintain the peacefulness that comes through meditation in one’s daily life?
Come to the Salisbury Centre to participate in chanting, spiritual walks, dance, prayer, meditation, breathing exercises and other spiritual practices as a means of finding the peace within oneself that will withstand the stresses and strains of everyday life. Each session will end with a meditation for world peace.
Led by Fateah Alice Saunders who began leading personal development groups more than 30 years ago before becoming involved in Dances of Universal Peace and Universal Sufism, which changed her life and which she gladly shares with others. She has trained as a psychotherapist, is a Dances of Universal Peace teacher and mentor, and a teacher for the Sufi Ruhaniat International.
Supported by EICSP (Edinburgh International Centre for Spirituality and Peace).
Cost: By donation.
