NB: Due to an unfortunate double booking at the Yoga Tree, Living Peace on 22 February has had to be cancelled. Please note there will be no such session in February at all in Stirling. An extra session is scheduled instead for April.
The remaining dates for this course are therefore:
Saturday 28 March (as already advertised).
Saturday 18 April (new - and please note this is the third Saturday in the month - the 4th Saturday was not possible).
Time: Afternoon Workshop: 2-4pm.
Event Description: We all want peace – but peace begins with us – it begins with individuals finding their own inner peace and living it outwardly.
We can learn to be active in bringing peace to our sometimes troubled inner lives – which helps us bring peace into our relationships – which in turn permeates our families, our communities - spreading out into the wider world.
These sessions, led by an experienced facilitator of similar events, will be experiential and somewhat developmental, using chanting of sacred sounds and phrases, body prayers, dancing, meditation (silent and guided), walking meditations, and maybe activities involving pairs or the whole group.
It will draw on teachings and spiritual practices from the Universal Sufism brought by Hazrat Inayat Khan to the West, and it is hoped that the final session will include a version of the Flag Ceremony for Peace from the May Peace Prevail On Earth International (Formally The World Peace Prayer Society), whose European Centre is based near Dumfries, southern Scotland.
Cost: Suggested donation £10.
