Event Description: For me, to retreat really means to ease myself away from the day-to-day normal living and take time out to gather myself in, to be present to myself, to one another, and to listen to the sound of the soul in us.
Soul whispers to us often by means of inner images and symbols. When we train the eye not only to see but to perceive and the ear not only to hear but to attune, then we feel inspiration flow. This flow of intuition in men helps the prodigal parts in them to come home to rest.
In this retreat you will be invited to welcome all that has been squandered in you because of social, familial, and work demands to the harbour of your feeling heart. Only here can you truly say ... I am at home.
Phyllida believes in the wilderness nature of the sacred and her work with the dying has taught her the importance of offering each other the gift of presence. She delights in sharing her experiences of the divine, in a way that embodies physicality and true intelligence, to include sacred memory. Phyllida believes that her background in humanistic psychology and psychotherapy whilst helping her to understand the dysfunctions of the personality, cannot heal the wounds of the heart. This, she believes, requires the compassionate presence of Soul.
