MaryCatherine Burgess is a Mother, Partner, Sister, Aunt, and Friend from the USA, but has lived in Edinburgh since 2001; Musician/Facilitator of experiential workshops, courses and retreats on Boundless Compassion and Compassionate Integrity Training (trauma informed), Divine Feminine, Living and Dying, Conscious Aging, and Myth and the Hero/Heroine’s Journey; Shamanic Practitioner since 1986; Licensed Mental Health Practitioner since 1994; ordained minister since 1995; and Trainer of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy since 2010. She has postgraduate degrees in Religious Education, Human Relations, Celtic and Scottish Studies, and Religious Studies (shamanic practice in Scotland) and was an Edinburgh University Multifaith Chaplain.

 

Speakers:

Phyllida Anam-Áire, a former Irish nun, as well as grandmother and therapist, who trained with Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, has worked extensively with the sick and dying. She has offered Conscious Living, Conscious Dying retreats in Europe. Also a songwriter, she teaches Celtic Gutha or Caoineadh, Irish songs or sounds of mourning. The author of A Celtic Book of Dying, Phyllida lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Dr Nadine Andrews is Chair of Climate Psychology Alliance Scotland, a visiting researcher at the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business at Lancaster University, and works as a social researcher in the Scottish Government currently leading the research on Scotland's Climate Citizens' Assembly. Nadine is also a mindfulness and nature-based coach/trainer, and a qualified Mountain Leader. Ultimately, her work is concerned with supporting people and organisations to be in more harmonious relationship with nature.

Croilán Greta Pattison MBACP (Snr Accred) has been working as a psychotherapist, bodywork therapist, trainer, and yoga teacher for over 25 years. Her early career was in contemporary dance performing and teaching. In her search for healing of personal trauma and understanding of holistic health, she has engaged in 25 years Shamanic experiencing, including Dzogchen (Tibetan Buddhism), Atman teachings (Hinduism/Yoga Philosophy) and has latterly found roots in Celtic Consciousness. She is an Initiate of Brigid of Ireland and Guardian of the Teachings from the Cauldron of Brigid. Croilan is known for her sincerity, warmth, and dedication to healing and consciousness.

Chanan Tej (Kasia Winiarczyk) is a psychotherapist, mindfulness and yoga teacher, and group facilitator with almost a decade of experience. Chanan holds a degree in Psychology and Administration Law as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Buddhist Psychology. Her Postgraduate Diploma was gained having completed the Postgraduate Counselling and Psychotherapy Programme with Caroline Brazier and David Brazier who are world authorities on Buddhist Psychotherapy and Zen Therapy.

Chanan is also a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and underwent Gong Master Training with Don Conreaux, the creator of the gong bath, and the world-famous gong player and teacher Aidan McIntyre.

As a psychotherapist, Chanan has been working privately with a variety of clients. However, most of her work focuses on trauma healing. Chanan also specialised in addiction counselling and therapy during her work for the ELCA charity organisation in Edinburgh. She is the co-founder of Blue Morpho Body Edinburgh.

Chanan is passionate about Buddhist Psychology, the healing force of the Sacred sound, Mindfulness, and Yoga.

Dr Sara Trevelyan works as a psychotherapist and a Barbara Brennan energy healer. She lives and works between Edinburgh and Findhorn. She is an also an Interfaith Minister, as well as a mother, and she has recently become a grandmother.
