Speakers:

Brian Anderson Shamanic Practitioner and Tarot Therapist:

Title: Unhealed Childhood and Collective Trauma and the implications for life.

Description: It seems clear to me, that the modern-day society we have created, and the way we live in un natural ways and largely without initiation that we are paying a big, big price.

The result is a society that is both traumatised and creates trauma, and we can see this being played out in individuals, in our playgrounds, and onto our world stage.

I worked for a time with our young people in what would be called "gang culture" in London and in the the West Country.

Here I learnt as I listened and gained trust with our youngest, how they were acting out in very destructive ways a healthy need and desire for connection and belonging.

The trauma we share once understood, acknowledged, and responsibility taken opens a way to the healing of our individual and collective wounds.

We need compassionate and wise support for this to happen!

My talk will offer something of my personal and professional reflections and experiences on what can happen if we as an individual come to our healing and the ripple of healing from this into our wider societal wounds.

Bio: For the last 20 years I have offered myself as a Shamanic practitioner.

As well as over the last 11 years developing work with the Tarot as a therapeutic mirror.

I have a background in counselling and psychology working in education and restorative justice with our young people, within the NHS and community and residential support for people experiencing addiction as a response to trauma.

I have also been on an ongoing journey of healing with my own trauma and this occurred consciously since an awakening in December 1999.

I now though can see my own trauma was always guiding me to this possibility from a young age.

Finding my place within nature has been a powerful part of my healing from trauma.

I have been involved with conservation locally, nationally and internationally since I was nine.

Fiona Gilbertson:

Title: Intergenerational Trauma Within a Toxic System: How communities heal from trauma created by systems meant to protect.

Description: TBC

Bio: Fiona has been advocating for peaceful solutions to the war on drugs through the charity she founded, Recovering Justice. She considers it a privilege to have been involved in both the HIV and sex worker movements. Her degree in anthropology underpins her work as does her own path of healing weaving activism with healing practices. She is a Churchill Fellow, hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, psychedelic sitter, and trained in compassionate Inquiry developed by Gabor Mate. She is currently studying with the Order of Bards Ovates and Druiids, a Mystery School that connects spirituality, nature and ritual.

Jacob Watson:

Title: The Gifts of Grief - wanted and unwanted.

Description: The natural emotion of sadness focuses on the many losses of being human and the consequent experience of grief.

Following his wife's death from a sudden heart attack four years ago, he describes how his desperate journaling became a story of accepting the gifts that unexpectedly came his way.

He emphasizes the need to both acknowledge and express the natural emotion of grief, which over time may lead to gifts, wanted and unwanted, yet gifts nonetheless.

Bio: Jacob Watson is an ordained interfaith minister. He was a grief counselor and staff member with the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Center, and a Hospice Chaplain.

Jacob co-founded Collins Brook School (a Summerhill School), the Center for Grieving Children and the interfaith Chaplaincy Institute of Maine.

His teachings and meditations are available on Insight Timer.

Jacob is the author of Enso Morning, Essence, We’re Gainin’, and Gifts of Grief.

He offers workshops in person and on Zoom entitled Releasing the Natural Emotions, and Gifts of Grief.

Aoisanam:

Title: How to Face the World with an Open Heart in Challenging Times.

Description: Aoisanam will speak about the impact of family secrets and unhealed grief handed down the family tree. She will draw from her own journey as well as her experiences in the field of Family Constellations and Shamanism. One of the premises of Family Constellations is that everyone who is part of a family system has the right to belong. If only one is denied his or her place in the system, no one will feel whole and all will suffer. This is oftentimes easier said then done, especially when we feel wronged as this often leads to dividing the world into perpetrators and victims.

Bio: Aoisanam’s passion is to work with transgenerational trauma in Family Constellations and Systemic Rituals. Her latest assignment is The Healing of the Land, which is of course interrelated with the people living on and of the land. Aoisanam was initiated in the Order of Brigid and has rooted herself in Shamanism and Celtic Consciousness.

Sólasan Elina Krüger:

Title: Children, History and What Gets Handed Down.

Description: As a German woman, I wonder what personal and collective effects are still evident in our psyches when, "for our own good", we were physically, mentally, emotionally, and religiously abused as young children.

Hitler's philosophy "spare the rod, spoil the child" was the accepted relationship between fathers and offspring.

Bio: Sólasan Elina Krüger (German), birth and death Doula, mother of four and grandmother, Singer-Songwriter, Poet and Storyteller. Researcher in the cosmic humanity alignments and the 13 starsign. Sólasan is a Priestess and Initiate of Brigid of Ireland. Her devotion is to also be a Guardian and Teacher of the Gutha (Celtic mantras).
