Donations to EICSP

Due to the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and due to continued uncertainty about distancing, then some EICSP events have had to be postponed and rescheduled, and this has led to a reduction in the usual income for EICSP.

Hence, donations towards the work of EICSP will be very welcome, and they can be made as follows, either by Paypal, bank transfer, or cheque, with details linked below:

Our Next Event

Event: 2-Day Retreat: Radiance of the Heart.

Facilitator: Sister Ajahn Candasiri.
Venue: Skye Room, Gillis Centre, 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh, EH9 1BB.
Dates: Saturday 9 - Sunday 10 April 2016.
Time: Registration: 9.30am-10am. Retreat Days: 10am-5pm.
Event Description: During this weekend of retreat we will be contemplating the natural radiance of the heart as it manifests through qualities of kindness, compassion, joyfulness and serenity.

We will also consider how such radiance can be obscured, and look at strategies for overcoming these difficulties.

Please bring along your own packed lunch.

There is no charge for the teaching but a donation of £50/£40 (Concessions) to cover basic expenses would be appreciated. There will also be an opportunity for those who wish to make a donation towards the running costs of Milntuim Hermitage.

Sister Ajahn Candasiri, who has been a nun within the forest tradition of Theravada Buddhism since 1979, has spent most of her monastic life at either Chithurst (Cittaviveka) Monastery or Amaravati Buddhist Monastery. She has led meditation retreats in the U.K. and abroad for several decades, and has been intimately involved with establishing the community and training for nuns (siladhara) of her tradition. Having practised within different religious traditions prior to meeting Ajahn Sumedho, her Buddhist teacher, her interest is in what is shared among people of faith, rather than what divides. Currently she is establishing a small hermitage for nuns of her tradition near Comrie in rural Perthshire.

2-Day Retreat: Radiance of the Heart

Cost: £50/£40 (Concessions)/£20 (Students).
