2-Day Edinburgh Retreat:

Event: Two-Day Retreat: Sound Evolution - Singing our World Awake.

Event Description: Sound Evolution - Singing Our World Awake, provides a sanctuary of sound, where we will discover how our spoken and singing voice energises us with a renewed stamina and inner resilience to navigate the challenges of these times with awareness, self-confidence, courage and wisdom. You will learn a range of vocal practices that build your self-confidence in all realms of life. This weekend will enable you to access simple playful ways of listening, co-creating and evolving consciousness together through the transforming power of shared sound and song. Supported and sustained by the witness consciousness, you will learn to observe yourself and others without judging. The witness is a unique faculty of attention that enables you to step out of the tight shoe of your reactive mind, and expand your awareness to express the far-reaching and joyous dimensions of your soul. The witness is strengthened through the practice of musicianship skills, specific sounds, vowels, devotional words or phrases, sacred chants, healing love songs and more, that inspire open-hearted listening, compassionate communication and unconditional Love.

Chloe Goodchild is a singer, sound healer, transformative teacher, workshop leader, author and founder of The Naked Voice Foundation based in Bristol, England. “A Universe Singing Inside You” is the title of Chloe’s forthcoming book, available in 2011. Her autobiography "The Naked Voice: Journey To The Spirit Of Sound" (Rider 1993) is now available as an EBook from The Naked Voice. Chloe has made a range of recordings "Devi" (1996), "Sura" (1998), "Fierce Wisdom" (2004), "Laughing Heart" (2009), "Thousand Ways of Light" (2010) and others, all available from Naked Voice Music (www.thenakedvoice.com). Chloe's instructional audiobooks "Your Naked Voice" (3CDs 2006), and "Awakening Through Sound [5CDs and DVD]" (2007) are available from The Naked Voice and from www.sounds.true.com (if you live in USA). Chloe is co-creating an ongoing "Singing Field" in Scotland with local committed singers, sound practitioners and evolutionaries.

Event Description: Your 'naked' voice is the mouthpiece of your soul. It enables you to harness all the energies of love within you, to engage playfully and courageously with your emotional body as you transform your negative energy into positive human feeling. This practice is supported by the witness consciousness, our self-observing mind, which calms your nervous system as you discover, through self-acceptance, gratitude and forgiveness, how your authentic voice is an essential key in unlocking the treasures of your heart's message. This experiential weekend reveals the full potential and spectrum of your unique vocal expression. Everyone is welcome, and previous 'singing experience' is not necessary. Your Naked Voice, provides you with the essential communication skills - inspired by deep, non-judgemental listening, healing breath work, devotional chant, sacred mantra, energy movement and the magical ‘seven sounds of love’ - to explore and redeem your true voice in all kinds of ways, spoken, and sung, for everyday life.
